about

This is Mark C. Morris Archive release #2, and was Mark's first album.
All proceeds of this release will be donated to The Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation (UAFF) to provide Humanitarian and Medical Aid to War Victims in Ukraine.

Mark's note from the rare 2nd edition of the cassette circa 1997, from which this digital version is sourced:

"Holy Madness will always be my pork chop of love. It is my first attempt at a serious recording. Unfortunately my mixing and recording skills were at their worst. This new remix attempts to make the songs more crisp and balanced. Some of the songs were recorded so poorly that not much could be done to help them. Still, there is a purity here worth remembering.

These are religious songs, chants, and mantras. They are absurd, godless, and above all, holy. As songwriter Creeping Charlie said, these are songs to hear when "you're tired of listening to music." I think you'll enjoy this new mix. A Special Thanks to Charlotte Carlson."
