about

All of these songs appeared, in less focused form, or within other songforms, on "The Circus Will Be Sent" split tape with Saying Sidney (formerly of sulkfly) - released in December of 1995. His side is a gem. You can find it here:

"Jimmy Brown" features Andy Koettel on singing. This was an homage to the fake bluegrass we used to play in The Bill Basset Band, wherein we would chant the names of restaurants, facts about plankton, or titles of bluegrass songs like this, over some quickly made up guitar riff:
"jim jim jim jim jim jim jim jim jim brown." Sing it, Andy! This probably features some of the original junk used as percussion on the Bill Basset tapes in '92.

A couple of these tracks were collected in the sequence for Unread release #259 - creeping charlie : "delayed replies : 1995-2006, but from a different master source.
