All Out 02:43
Goddamn! What now? I am all out I work you don't killing my hope I don't want to make this work anymore I don't want to compromise I tried everything to make you see wiped the dirt out of your eyes I'm out the door blood on the floor I'm out the door sore
2.
Carebear 02:21
Face me with care You tricked me didn't care Your stuffing's fallen out a tear poor little Carebear What's wrong am I bad? What happened to make you mad Why didn't you wait for me? I see you care a lot about me I wish I was gone 'cause it's too hot here Braveheart I wish Not even a goodbye kiss Always thought we'd grow apart but I didn't know just when that'd start If I had some string I'd mend your painful sting Sew up your open fur and try to make things like they were I wish I was gone 'cause it's too hot here
3.
Carli 02:28
Hey there, Carli I'd like to say that I believe that when we die we gain a life where audio replaces sight and rock shows happen every night And accidents all turn out right and doctors stay at home at night but I can't say for sure that's right so tell me so I feel all right do rock shows happen every night? Hey there, Carli I'd like to say that I believe that when we die we gain a life that's better than when we're alive that's better than when we're alive But I can't say for sure that's right so tell me so I feel all right I want to think that you're all right do rock shows happen every night? do rock shows happen every night? do rock shows happen every night? My tired head just thinks they might Hear you me, Mykel Hear you me, Carli

Doug's personal notes regarding The King Suite Sampler:

All Out - "A song about fighting with machinery while working at the popcorn factory. There were lots of electronic eyes that would get covered in the butter slurry and then the machine wouldn't run right. Goddamn! Clearly, here's a guy who's recently had the Pinkerton album come into his life. I recorded the guitars on Matchbook Shannon's equipment, and know they were cranked. Why then do they sound so clean tone? Perhaps it's a phenomenon like how early Beatles songs, like 'I Want to Hold Your Hand,' don't sound very loud, though I bet they were. I actually think I like this better than if it sounded like it was recorded at Sound City." Hear Doug's original version on the forthcoming reissue of MF30 - Thank You and Goodbye.

Carebear - "My first song. A song about being stuck in Texas without the girl I drove there for and watching Lollapalooza pretty much all by myself. This version is more like the original demo version Matchbook Shannon sent out on our demos. We were excited in the studio and the album version came out way too fast. I wanted this song to have a Buffalo Tom feel as Buffalo Tom was a big part of the sound of 1994 for me." Hear Doug's original version on the forthcoming reissue of MF18 - The Laces.

Carli - "After I finished the first Laces tape, I mailed one to Rivers Cuomo via the address printed in their album notes. I was super excited when I received a letter back from Carli Allen, who along with her sister Mykel, ran Weezer's fanclub. She said she got to hear the tape I sent Rivers and asked if she could have one of her own. I sent her back a tape made especially for her. Several years later, I learned via the Internet that Carli, Mykel and a friend had died driving home from a Weezer show when their car ran off the road. I wrote this song for her, a cappella, singing softly to myself while working at the popcorn factory." Hear Doug's original version on the forthcoming reissue of MF253 - Forever for Now.
