about

A song about fighting with machinery while working at the popcorn factory. There were lots of electronic eyes that would get covered in the butter slurry and then the machine wouldn't run right. Goddamn! Clearly, here's a guy who's recently had Pinkerton come into his life. I recorded the guitars on Matchbook Shannon's equipment, and know they were cranked. Why do they sound so clean tone? Perhaps it's a phenomenon like how early Beatles songs, like "I Want to Hold Your Hand," don't sound very loud, though I bet they were. I actually think I like this better than if it sounded like it was recorded at Sound City.
